Fuel System Service

The job of the fuel system in your vehicle is to store and provide fuel to the cylinder chamber where it can be mixed with air, vaporized, and burned to generate energy, thus making your vehicle run. The fuel, which can be either gasoline or diesel, is stored in a fuel tank. A fuel pump draws the fuel from the tank through fuel lines and delivers it through a fuel filter to either a carburetor or fuel injector, next it is delivered to the cylinder chamber for combustion. That is how the fuel system works.

You must also remember to maintain the fuel system. Whenever you mix gasoline with heat and oxygen, you will have carbon. You must maintain the engine when this happens to stop the buildup that will happen when these three are mixed.

Remember to clean your throttle, fuel injectors, EGR Valve, oxygen sensors and your intake valves every year to make sure they run like brand new.
